Laos is a completely landlocked country in the middle of South East Asia, surrounded by five countries: Viet Nam, Cambodia, Thailand, Myanmar and China. (click arrow to animate map)
The part we're interested in is in northern Laos, not too far from the former Royal Capital and UNESCO Heritage-Listed town of Luang Prabang.
By 'not too far' we mean about two hours drive, heading south through rice farming country, as well as fairly mountainous terrain, to the District Centre of Muang Nan. The Women's Business Textile Arts Centre is in a converted and renovated shophouse on one of the town's back streets.
